Rex came to us in September of 2020 at a week old with his mom Rose and his two sisters Rocky and Remy.
Rose was living outside and had the babies on the side of a hill. A very sweet lady put out the call to see if there was anyone who could take this family in and we answered.
Rose was a wonderful mom and took great care of her babies. Even though she was very shy and wouldn’t let us touch her she let us help her with the little ones.
It wasn’t long until the babies were getting bigger and getting more confident and curious about what was going on outside of their kennel.
Rocky and Remy were always the first ones to charge ahead, Rex always hung back and fully assessed the situation before moving forward. He was shy at first but over time he grew into a very sweet, loving little boy.
He is now living with his new dad, Ross and they are perfect for each other. Ross works mainly from home, so Rex assists him.
Rex went to his new furrever home on February 17th and has settled in according to Ross “like he owns the place”.
Ross keeps in touch with us and we can’t be more appreciative that he does. We are looking forward to seeing Rex grow up
Adopted February 2021
Rocky & Remy came to us in September of 2020 at a week old with their mom Rose and their brother Rex.
We knew from the start that Rocky and Remy were a bonded pair, pretty much where one went the other followed. Rex was much more independent. The girls were very curious and adventurous, the higher the obstacle the better. They loved to be up high on the cat tree and it didn’t matter how many perches were there, they liked to be together.
We found the perfect family for them. Stephanie and Joel wanted to pick up the girls without their daughters Kaomi and Emily knowing and take them home for a surprise. They came to visit and meet them and it went great, it was meant to be.
They decided to change their names to Lily (Rocky) and Petunia(Remy) , Tuney for short. They chose these names from the Harry Potter characters.
Stephanie and I keep in touch and they are over the moon for the kitties. Stephanie asked me “For sure. Lots of laughs and lots of... What's the word for that feeling you get when you just love
something so much? I was gonna write heart throbs but that doesn't sound right ha ha. Idk if there is a word for it! But I love them, and I feel it daily.”
We weren’t prepared to take in anymore cats or kittens, but we got an emergency request to take in Grace and her 5 kittens. We couldn’t say no, so we brought them in.
Gabe was one of two male grey kittens; at first we had trouble telling them apart. But, then their individual personalities starting coming out. Gabe was more outgoing and his brother Gil was a little shyer more reserved.
Gabe loved to play with his brothers and sisters. He was always starting some shenanigans.
We are excited that his new parents Molly and Eduardo love him so much. They were in love from first sight. He also has a new bigger sister Constantine who he is working on and she is definitely coming around. Who could resist him??
After just a little while we got this update, “I’m so glad he’s fitting in, he loves to come up and be near us. He’s a very sweet boy.”
We look forward to many more happy updates!!!
Gibbs (Salem)
We weren’t prepared to take in anymore cats or kittens, but we got an emergency request to take in Grace and her 5 kittens. We couldn’t say no, so we brought them in.
From the beginning Gibbs, now named Salem was the first one to do anything…eat wet food, charge the door of the kennel..he was always up for an adventure.
In the litter of 5 he was the only black kitten. His brothers are both grey and his sisters are calicos.
We were very excited to get an inquiry about him from Samantha. She advised us that her son Kai really was the one who wanted to adopt, but Kai is still in high school. So, after a few long conversations and them driving from Oceanside to Riverside to meet him, we knew that Kai and Salem belonged together.
It’s not the typical adoption, but we are confident that Salem is with the right family and will be a cherished family member for life.
After texting to see how the first few days went Samantha said “He’s so Amazing. We are in love!”
The most recent update was “We are doing great and having so much fun with Salem, he’s growing so fast and running the pet household.”
We look forward to many more happy updates!!!
Goldie and Gigi (Now Stella and Coco) came to us with their mom Grace and their 3 brothers. From the beginning they were all very sweet kittens.
We weren’t prepared to take in any cats or kittens, but we got the emergency request to take in this family and we couldn’t say no.
The girls were both calico’s and the only way to really tell them apart was Gigi had a pinkish area on her nose. Plus, Goldie was a little plumper than Gigi.
They always loved to hang out with each other and play together. They also loved to hang out with us and just cuddle. So, we were super happy that they got adopted together to a wonderful couple. They were adopted at the end of May 2021.
Patricia and Christian are wonderful cat parents and love the girls very much. After a bit of confusion about the name changes (on my part) Patricia wrote me and said “They're bonded I wouldn't separate them. They both make me laugh so much. I sing to them all the time haha”
We are so happy that the girls are happy and in a great home!! We look forward to many years of updates on these two beautiful girls.
Adopted July 2021
From living in a storm drain to a cherished family member. Nala came to us in March of 2021. She had been living in a storm drain in Newport Beach.
A very nice lady named Sue saw her and started working to gain her trust, after a few weeks, she was able to work with Terri Hamel to get Nala trapped, and then to the vet for a check up, shots, and spayed.
Terri contacted us and asked if we could take this sweet girl in. We did and from the first few days with us she was understandably nervous, but very quickly warmed up and became one of our favorite fosters.
Despite being abandoned, since we believe that at one time she was someone’s pet, she was very loving and very trusting.
As an older kitty we weren’t sure how long it would be for someone to express interest in her, although we are prepared to take as long as needed.
We were very happy to be contacted by Peter in late June about a cat for his daughter, Sierra, we talked for a while and I told him about Nala. They came to visit and meet her and it was pretty much love at first sight. Sierra spent quite a while just hanging out with Nala and getting to know her a bit.
When we discussed what happens in the future when Sierra moves forward on her own she told us that “I will never move anywhere that Nala can’t go with me”.
They have spent a lot of time getting to know each other since getting Nala to her new home.
The first text I got from Sierra said “She warmed up to me surprisingly fast. We decided to keep the name Nala. She’s just as mellow and cuddly as you said. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take care of her”
We are excited for both of these ladies to bond further and look forward to many updates over the years for both of them!!!
Adopted September 2021
Owen now named Rizzo after Isabel’s favorite baseball player was a stray kitten along with his sister, Pearl.
We were contacted by their foster mom and after we advised that we couldn’t take them in, they agreed to foster them and we would back them as a rescue.
Both Owen and Pearl are very sweet kitties. Owen loves to play, also loves to be loved. He is a big lovebug!!!
He was adopted by a very cool family: Bryan, Isabel, Gianna and Juliet.
They love animals and have quite a few. Owen joins 3 cats…Alaska (6), Juneau (5), and Marshall (2). There is also a Pomeranian named Denali. Owen should never be bored, or lonely.
We look forward to many updates and lots of love!!!
Adopted July 2021
Serena came to us in April of 2021. At about a year old, she had been living outside and had 3 premature babies who sadly did not make it.
We took her in from the people where she had been living, and she from the beginning was the sweetest girl. She loves to be loved and be around people. She definitely did not like the quarantine period.
Once we were able to let her come out and interact with us and the other cats, she did great. Always wanting to be loved.
Serena was adopted by Mike and Tonya on July 4th, 2021. They came to meet her and it went great. They had cats at home, Kitten a 13 year old boy and Teddy a 1 year old boy.
Mike and Tonya were hoping that Serena and Teddy would hit it off and they did. Tonya let me know that even Kitten can’t resist Serena.
Tonya let me know that “I think she’s enjoying being inside. She hunts her toys and brings them into the bed in the morning. She loves to be petted and gets upset if you stop.”
“She is very sweet and gets along well with both of our boys!”
We are so happy that Serena found a family that loves her and she loves them!!!
Adopted September 12th 2021
Luna came to us in May of 2021. She was part of a large group that needed rescue. They were all living on the streets in L.A..
We ended up taking in Luna, Beatrice, Shadow (Dad) and 9 kittens. All of the kittens needed some medical attention.
We got very lucky with this large group as they were all very friendly and sweet. Luna was an absolute sweetheart from the beginning. She had 4 kittens, and was a great mom with them.
Once the kittens were older, Luna started venturing out and meeting the other cats, she did very well with them. Hanging out, playing.
We took her along with several other cats to an adoption event at Ocean Honda Whittier, and she caught the eye of Vilma.
Luna was adopted that day and went to her new home.
Vilma said they were looking for a mellow, sweet cat and Luna fit that description to a T!!!
We are so happy that Luna has found a great home!!!
Adopted 8/30/21
She came to us in a large group that we ended up taking in. We were going to take 4 kittens and a mom and ended up with 9 kittens, 2 moms, and the dad.
From the first time we met her, she was super sweet and had a great personality. She is definitely a character. She was a great mom to her 5 kittens and loved to play and have fun.
Beatrice has found her furrever home with her new mom, Amanda. Beatrice is definitely her own girl, we got this message not long after she went to her new home, “She’s so sweet. But kinda weird she doesn’t go on our beds. Cats always sleep on the bed even if you don’t want them to lol.”
We are so happy that this sweet, funny girl has found her furrever home and is loved and cherished. We look forward to many happy updates!!
Adopted August 2021.
Taya(now Willow) and her siblings came to us in April of 2021. Taya was the smallest, but she had the biggest personality. She always let us know when she wasn't happy about something, or when dinner was late. We are so happy for her that she was adopted by Claire and Addie. She has a new cat sister, Winter, they are working on becoming besties.
She is living her best cat life in Oregon now and we are looking forward to lots of updates about her and her new family!!!!
Adopted September 2021.
Shelby and her two sisters were born into our rescue. We took in their mom Hope from a trucking company that was shutting down. They are the sweetest girls. We participated in an adoption event in Whittier and Kevin and Jenny fell in love with Shelby. They are great cat parents and we love the updates we get.
Adopted September 2021
Howie was a sweet stray kitty with his sister Heidi. The people who found them fostered them until we could find homes.
Howie is a stage 10 cuddlebug and loves to be loved. We took them both the adoption event in September and Howie won the hearts of Jaime and Joshua. They fell in love and they are over the moon for him. He definitely hit the kitty jackpot.
Adopted June 2021
Mia Monet now named Mimi came to us in February 2021. She was at Devore shelter and we took her in. She was just a kitten 3 months old and so sweet. It took her a little while to get comfortable and let her sweet personality come out. She was adopted by her new family Ashley, Jordan and her new cat brother Bear. She went to live in Bullhead City AZ and they are doing very well. She is loved and has a furrever family. We look forward to many updates!!!
Adopted February 2022
Opal came to us in July of 2021. We believe that she had been a pet who was dumped. The kind people who found her advised that this is common where they live.
Opal was immediately a people cat. She loved nothing more than snuggling with us. Other cats, not so much.
We knew that her people were out there and they would find her. They did. We were so excited when Kim contacted us. She initially asked about another cat in our care and after some discussion we mutually agreed that cat wasn’t right for them.
We arranged a meet and greet and it went very well. From the moment they all met it was like they had known each other forever. Kim and Scott are both super nice people and we were confident that they were Opal’s people.
We are always excited to get new texts and updates on how well she is doing and are so happy that she has found her family!!!!
Adopted June 2021
Miss Juno, what a sweet cat. We had met her original owner before she moved out of state and had offered to help find Juno a new home. She told us that she had found someone and that it was handled. I told her to keep my number, just in case and if something wasn’t working to let me know. Well, a couple of months after this, she called me and said that it wasn’t working for Juno at her new place.
I contacted the new owner, and they didn’t understand Juno at all. She is not a fan of lots of chaos, or other cats. She likes quiet and just hanging out. The place she was at was very chaotic with kids, cats, noise and she didn’t have a place of her own. She had been relegated to a kid’s closet.
We immediately took her in and she blossomed being the only cat in our room. She has the funniest personality and is very sweet. We took out time listing her for adoption as we wanted to make sure that we knew her well enough to place her in the right home.
We found her right home, Diana, her new mom has a nice quiet, laid back home. She contacted us and wanted to give an older kitty a home.
As soon as we got Juno to her new home, we knew it was perfect.
She has been in her new home for a while now and has blossomed and become the queen of the castle and we are so happy for her and her new mom. We are always excited to get updates!!!

We are tagged in a lot of posts for cats and kittens in need, sadly we can’t help everyone. But, thankfully we were able to help Winston, a super cute kitten of 14 weeks who happened to be a little sick and found himself at one of our SoCal shelters. Sadly, he was in danger of losing his life due to the sheer numbers of kittens and cats that are out there.
We were so blessed to meet Holly. She stepped up and offered to take in this little guy. We made the arrangements for her to pick him up. We went to her place to meet both her and Winston (now called Winnie) and they were both such sweet beings. I was able to hold him and sit with him for quite a while. He just wanted to be loved. We worked with Holly to treat his illness, which wasn’t bad at all. Over time, she double checked with us if she could take him with her to meet her family as she was going there for the holidays. Of course we said yes. Her family fell in love with this cutie.
Holly asked us if she would be able to adopt Winnie, and we couldn’t be happier to say yes. He was already part of the family and adored her dad, Blake. They are best buddies.
We are so thankful that Winnie went from death row to living his absolutely best life with a family that adores and treasures him.
We are so blessed to have a treasure in Holly, she has now offered to foster another little one who was in danger. She has a heart of gold!!!
Adopted February 2021
Adele, now named Jazzmine, Jazz for short, came to us with her siblings. They had been born outside and were taken care of by a very sweet couple. They were in the process of moving and needed to find them a new place, so we took them on.
They were a sweet litter from the beginning.
Adele was always independent and had a mind of her own. That was very evident when her unsuspecting new parents came to meet another Tuxedo kitty that was available for adoption.
Chris and Adrianna came in and while we were talking to them, Adele proceeded to sit on Adrianna’s lap and pretty much tell them that she was ready to go home, and they didn’t need to meet that other cat. It truly was love at first sight, for both parties. She stayed on Adrianna's lap and made sure that the adoption agreement was signed correctly!!!
Cats quite often will pick a person, and it seems that Adrianna is her person. Her new mom tells me “Jazz is always by my side. I’m her person, she’s my sweet baby!”
We are always so excited to get updates and Adrianna loves to share pictures of her girl. The last message I got was “She is my everything.”
Adele went from being born in a back yard to being absolute royalty!!
Adopted April 2022
Bella came to us in May 2021 with her whole family. Dad, siblings, her mama and another mama and litter. Bella was one of the older litter by about a month. From early on she was always very sweet, funny and loved to be with people. She was always right in the middle of anything happening and could always be counted on to start some fun.
We were so excited when she got adopted and got a whole new family!! Mom, dad, two sisters, 2 dogs(Thor and Odin), 1 cat (Marley) , a guinea pig (Snowball), 2 toads (Jumpy and Swampy, 4 rats and a gecko.
We have been so happy to get lots of great updates and she is so happy and fits in well with her new family!!!
Adopted 9/12/21
Sydney and her two sisters were born into our rescue. We took in their mom Hope from a trucking company that was shutting down. They are the sweetest girls. We participated in an adoption event in Whittier and Vilma fell in love with Sydney. The family love her and we love the updates we get.
Dorie now named Princess Zoey - Adopted 1/1/22
The D’s as we called them came to us in October of 2021. They were just tiny things and as is sort of normal in cat rescue, they were found alone and there was no mom to be found.
Right from the beginning, this group of sweet babies was a joy and lots of fun. Dorie, being the only girl was the first to check out anything and never took no for an answer. She didn’t like being confined in the kennel and let us know about her displeasure. Although she was very independent, she also loved to snuggle up and take naps with us and get lots of love.
We were so excited to meet her new family. Austin, Ray and JP came to meet her on New Year’s Day. They spent lots of time hanging out with her and they all fell in love. We knew that it was right and they were her forever family.
There wasn’t a long adjustment period in her new home until she was in charge. Austin, her new mom let us know that since she was a Princess, and she would be growing up with JP(Joey), that they changed her name to Princess Zoey. So, Zoey and Joey it was!!!
JP is a very sweet, kind boy and he loves Zoey as do the entire family. We are always so excited to get updates and new pictures, which we get quite often!!!
Adopted January 2023
Baby and Braveheart (Midnight) came to our rescue with their sister, Beauty in late 2022. We met them through the very caring lady who found them and reached out to us for assistance. Norma has since become not only a foster, but a friend.
They were both very sweet boys, but a little shy. Norma worked with them and through her, they became very loving, fun kittens.
We had lots of inquiries about them, but no serious adopters until we met their forever family. They are a great addition to a large “blended” family. Mom, Dad, 3 human siblings and 2 doggo siblings.
They have become valued members of the family and are doing very well. We look forward to many updates in the future!!!
Adopted September 2022
Beauty came to our rescue with her brothers, Baby and Braveheart in late 2022. We met them through the very caring lady who found them and reached out to us for assistance. Norma has since become not only a foster, but a friend.
Beauty, aptly named was from the beginning was a very sweet girl. She loved to play with her brothers, but also loved to hang out and just chill.
She was the first to be adopted. Her new mom Jennifer fell in love with her and knew that they were meant to be family. She has a new cat sister, Dahlia and it took a little time, but Beauty won her over and they are now best friends. We enjoy getting updates on the girls and look forward to many more!!
We were proud to partner with Tips and Whiskers to back this gorgeous girl!! Through a group effort, she found an amazing home where she is a cherished family member and pretty much is the boss!!!
