We created Precious Purrs Feline Rescue in 2020. We are both avid animal lovers and with the Covid situation we decided that with the extra time we had we would do something to help cats and kittens.
We are a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization.
We began transporting kittens to rescue organizations. As with animal rescue that usually leads to more involvement and it did, we began to foster kittens that needed to find their furrever homes. During this time we successfully fostered and took care of eight kittens that needed varying degrees of medical assistance, socialization and love.
All eight kittens found their furrever homes, one of them being Luna who ended up choosing to stay with us and our two cats Mimi and Riley.
We sadly lost Riley on December 27th, 2022. He had quite a few health issues. We were truly blessed to have 3 wonderful years with him.
We lost Mimi on May 15th, 2023. There was a mass found in her abdomen, before we could get it properly diagnosed, she declined rapidly. She passed at home surrounded by those who loved her dearly. We were honored to be her family for her 5 too short years on this planet.
Being that there is always a need for help with cats and kittens we decided that the best way to help was to start our own rescue. We took in a mama cat and her 3 one week old kittens that were living on the side of a dirt hill. Rose and the 3 babies Rex, Remy and Rocky were the first Precious Purrs clients. Rocky, Remy and Rex have now been adopted into their furrever homes!!
We have met so many Amazing people already on this journey and we truly appreciate all of the guidance, help and love we have already received.
